The photographer Denise Apgar writes on her Facebook: «How can I possibly pick favorites from Sunday’s wedding?! The day was absolutely perfect! And I’m beyond thrilled for Ayah and Darius because they deserved the very best day! After having to postpone their 2020 date and change their venue, we couldn’t have been more excited to finally celebrate these two and their love for one another.
Every single detail was planned with their guest experience and culture in mind, and I will forever be amazed at the intentionality of every detail. Ayah and Darius chose to use olive trees and branches throughout their day – from invitations, to favors, to tiny olives in the boutonnières, to the beading on her dress, and more! You see, olive trees are significant to Palestinian culture, and since that’s where Ayah is from, it was really important to include a piece of her heritage in their day. Their guest favors were tiny bottles of olive oil, which were displayed on the stunning escort chart their guests first saw upon their arrival. Even further, the olive oil came from her grandmother’s olive grove in Palestine! Like I said, so much thought in every detail! Beyond the details though, the entire day was a complete blast! So much love, laughter and hospitality. I want to relive this day over and over!»
